In fact, unless you entered some contest, no one does this. Do yourself a favor and if you don't recognize a number (, unless you have a friend that you might think may spend that 1 call on you from jail), don't pick up the phone. ANd if you do, whatever you do, don't by into some RANDOMLY selected BS because companies don't do random unless you entered yourself into a contest. Another words, you would know that you were a 'random contestant' in a phone calling 'game'.
